Subject &
Verb Agreement
Subject-verb agreement means
spesific verb (the verb) and the subject. Remember that the subject and verb in
a sentence must be appropriate (agree). Single subject (singular subject)
should be met with a singular verb anyway (singular verb); plural subject
(plural subject) to be met with a plural verb (plural verb). The principle
of subject-verb agreement applies to finite verbs in the present tense and, in
a limited way, to the past forms of the verb to be (was and were).
